The AAEP is the largest group of equine practitioners in the world. Today, the AAEP, headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky, serves as a non-profit organization of over 6600 members. Equine Guelph
Equine Guelph is a centre for equine-related research, communication and education at the University of Guelph, supported and overseen by equine industry groups. Equine Guelph is the answer to industry requests to have a single point of contact at the University on all matters related to equine issues. The LongRun Thoroughbred Retirement Society
Our aim is to offer an alternative to owners and trainers to continue racing horses that are no longer able to compete by finding these racehorses’ adoptive homes and perhaps an alternative career as riding horses or as companions. We aim to educate the Ontario thoroughbred racing community, as well as the public, about these alternatives for retired racehorses through our work.

The Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation
The TRF is a good site that lists equine adoption, retirement, rescue and rehabilitation services alphabetically by state. The RARP provides racehorse adoption/retirement information to people throughout the United States and Canada. The program’s mission is to find good homes for Thoroughbreds when their days at the track have ended. The RARP is not always directly involved with the adoption/retirement process – its primary role is to generate awareness about contact points for all potential adopters and donors.
